Are you talking about the written test or the road test? And I don’t understand what you mean by “after scheduling”. But here’s some info. Hope it helps.

The road test, I heard that you have to wait a month or so for the appointment, and I might not have time in a few weeks, so I like to know if I can make it if I schedule now or wait.

You could schedule now or wait. I think the site said a it’s minimum of 3 to 5 weeks for the earliest appointment, but you are given several choices of dates and times, so I guess you can choose a date that fits your schedule. And you can always reschedule or cancel if something comes up.
