I’m playing the part of a “damsel in distress” tomorrow.

I have to improvise for two hours as a damsel in distress with a guy who’ll be dressed up as a knight..does anyone have any tips? I’m freaking out!

sleep for part of the time, then take out a deck of cards and play solitaire.

OK, if you are with the knight, you shouldn’t actually have to be in too much distress…here are some questions to answer. Once you’ve come up with the story, you’ll know what you need to do!

What circumstances were you in when you were rescued? What led to those circumstances? What lingering effects do you currently have to deal with as a result of having been rescued? Or what do you still have to face to resolve the situation?

When you improvise, you can either tell the story, or talk about the things you need to do now to resolve the remaining issues.

Good Luck!

Are you doing some sort of monologue, or are you interacting with the knight? Or someone else? Is this a formal thing, or are you going to a party?

I’ve really been given very few details so that’s why i’m freaking out! I just know that it’ll be outdoors at a castle. I think maybe there’s some kind of festival on involving a shakepearean play so alot of the challenge for me at the moment is just visualising what it’s going to be like!
All i was told was to interact with the public and the knight as a damsel in distress!

It actually sounds like fun! Get the story straight in your mind (it may help to discuss it with the knight) and you’ll do well. In a pinch, you could start with a fairy tale and modify it to suit your needs.

Hey guys! Thanks so much for all the help!! It went really really well! My knight was brilliant, apparently he does a lot of improv so that made it a lot easier! It was a bit daunting but also loads of fun! :D
