Had the exact same “blurry” problem with my Polaroid i733 AND also my Polaroid i735 digital cameras. Punched it up on the internet and so many other people also had the exact same problem - pictures come out blurry and out of focus, especially when zooming in. Only problem was, nobody was offering any solutions to the “blurry” pictures problem. Also could “not” find any solution on any forums. Got really frustrated especially when taking pictures at once-in-a-lifetime occasions (weddings, births, graduations, etc) which kept coming out blurry time and time again.
So I just started messing around with the camera setup. Turns out it has to do with the settings of the Polaroid i733 and i735. Usually the setting I use for the camera is either the “P” (”Program” mode) or the “Q mode”. BOTH settings are easy to use, but they both made my pix come out BLURRY. So do “not” use “Program mode” or “Q mode”. Here’s how I finally got some ULTRA-CLEAR photos, even when I zoom in.
Step 1) Turn the i733 or i735 on.
Step 2) Press the “SCN” button in the Lower Right corner of the i733 / i735.
Step 3) Scroll over to the “FOOD” icon, which shows a “Fork and Knife” as the FOOD Icon. Press the “SET” button to select the “FOOD” icon.
Note: In the “FOOD” icon mode, the flash will only allow 2 options - either AUTO Flash, or NO Flash.
My current resolution is set to “VGA”, but I have also had it at 1MP, 3MP, and 7MP. At first, I thought that setting it to a higher resolution like 7MP, would cause the pix to come out clear. Not so… the 7MP setting came out just as blurry as ever. So I went back down to “VGA” resolution, and when I used the “FOOD” (Fork and Knife) icon, my photos F-I-N-A-L-L-Y came out real clear, even when I zoomed.
One final note: If for some reason, your photos are still coming out a little blurry in the “FOOD” icon mode, move the camera just a tiny bit further away (in 1/4 inch increments) from the object you are photographing, until the object becomes ultra-sharp in focus, and then press the SHUTTER to take the photo.
I hope this helps you and others who have been having this really pesky “blurry” problem. Am just so happy, I can actually take ultra CLEAR pictures with my Polaroid i735 camera now.
