help, I’ve got a worm on my computer, how can I get rid of it?

My spyware detected it two days ago and removed it but my computer has been acting strange this past few days and I don’t think it removed all of its components from my computer. what should I do? I use Windows Live care one care and Spyware terminator. Mostly my computer screen will go blank or I’ll find my desktop on my computer all messed up. Could this be contributed to the worm? I use windows vista. thanks!

I have had a worm in my computer for the last month and a half. I just don’t know how to get rid of it either. What’s AVG?

It’s an anti virus program, very good, and free.

They say using more than one anti virus is good rather than having only one.

Use AVG. It has not turned me down just yet.

If your PC seems like its slowing down or having a hard time surfing the web or just doesn’t seem right.
You should go to http://download.com and get these programs.
AD-Aware: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4.htm…
Spybot search and destroy: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search…
CCleaner: http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000…
and and if you dont have an Antivirus program you can use
Avast: http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Ed…
or AVG: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Viru…
and for your firewall a good program is
Zone Alarm: http://www.download.com/ZoneAlarm-Fir…
Install these programs and run them regulary. This will keep your system clean and running properly. These programs are free and Download.com is a part of CNET (the site that your posting on right now). Hope this helps :-)

try SmithFraudFix to actually remove the worm (free).
http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFi…
follow all the instruction (yeah, it needs the ’safe mode’) carefully.
it worked for me in the past.
