Year help: I think I’m going deaf in one of my ears and its not clogged with wax. - Help.com

I think I’m going deaf in one of my ears and its not clogged with wax.

Is there a way or a website where I can test my hearing to see if its not just my imagination? Its my right ear and its been getting rather dull this past two years…does anyone know? thanks

on a more serious note, I find it unlikely, but try asking at the doctors and they will give you advice

its not unlikely. I’m a pianist and I notice what happens in my ears.

I can hear lots better with my left ear than my right and its really beginning to worry me. If I need to I can really go to the doctor but I don’t want to wast my time…

no, I mean finding anything useful on the net is unlikely, get it checked out professionally. Maybe get your ears syringed, and if you are exposed to high noise levels, E.g. a band rehearsal, wear ear plugs. these things are all u can really do

And trust me, if u are serious about music, nothing ear-related is a waste of time

NO there is NOT a website that can test your hearing. For gosh sakes, these kinds of tests are conducted by people with 12 years of medical school; you’re not going to do it in 5 seconds over the internet. GO to your doctor, tell him or her what you’ve been experiencing, and request that they do a hearing test.

Yes, yes. To Ashleyy you listen. She’s going to be a nurse someday, so she knows what she’s talking about. Or will, at any rate.
