life help: I seem to hate waking up most days and going to sleep at night… - Help.com

I seem to hate waking up most days and going to sleep at night…

Mainly because I dream that everything in my life is going great just like things were 3 months ago, but when i wake up i still think everything’s fine for a few seconds then it all comes flooding back which then makes me feel down for the rest of the day.

I don’t suppose anyone knows how I can break this annoying cycle?

accomplish something big in your life currently. Then when you wake up and remember all the stuff that was so great, you can think, well, you had some good stuff, but it’s even better now.

that sounds awful. well - make sure you (sorry, boring) exercise daily and eat right - it will actually help….outside of that…I would pray before you go to bed that you dream good dreams that have nothing to do with the past, but are happy….yeah - and what the above guy said too!!

Change your life.

“[I] dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was [me]. Soon I awoke, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.” -Chuang Tzu

(sorry for the bad English) … honestly, the problem isn’t so big…the solution always lies in your head… i think the problem isn’t just because of your real-life problems, you need to find some hobby… for example i like sailing, and when i’m in a bad mood i go with my father and friends sailing… or if the weather is bad - exercise…, you could do something you like..whatever makes you happy. You could also try helping other(like this site)…when you help someone, “tomorrow” someone will help you, but also, helping others makes you feel better…Anyway..you need to look everything on the bright side - i’m telling you honestly (those are not just the words from the son “allways look on the bright side of…”)..everything happens with reason… ;)

Why, thank you. I am a fan of Chuang Tzu and Lao Tzu.

Eastern thought is interesting.
