Ideas help: please help i’m running a temperature of 107 and can’t seem to get it to go down any body have some ideas on how to get it down? - Help.com

Call someone! This is serious! If not call an ambulance… I’m not joking… ice cold bath it’s the only way to help you right now. It’s going to suck, but it will potentially save your life.

Old trick that my mother always did for me and my sister. Take Two old socks and a big onion. cut the onion in half place it in the socks and tie them around both of your Wrists. It will take a while maybe a few hours even but by morning you should be as good as new.

heat for some reason is attracted to onions. it will draw the heat out of your body.

For me it only takes a few hours but for my sister it takes longer. I guess it depends on the person.

if anything it will keep it from going any higher

make sure the onion is sitting on the under side of your wrists

dont even bother driving to the hospial call the ambulance!! right nowww!!!!!

they will have to run a cool IV and probably put you on a lot of anitbiotics cuz you probably have a severe infection.

please get help now.

if you keep running fevers like that then you may have a more serious problem then you think

oh my gooodnesss, ive never heard of someone having it higher than 104 and them being okay.

are there any other symptoms?

okayy, i really think you need to get to the hospital. there is probably something going on like an infection or bacterial, or viral bug. maybe even food poisoning.. like e.coli. and that can be deadly if left untreated.

are you on any new meds?

please go to the hospital, like soon, not tomorrow.

but in the mean time, drink water, but sprite, or 7up soda is better, because even if you throw up right afterwards the sugars will already be absorbed into your system. and suck on a loli pop or a hard candy.

and idk. this seems serious to me. and even if its nothing, you dont know that now and you wont be able to tell unless you go get help.

if you call the ambulance and they think its serious enough theyll take you by helicopter. but you probably wont wanna do that if you dont have insurance.

okay, this is the one i have. and its for blue cross and blue sheild and it doesnt say “have insurance card ready” so im guessing anyone can call

well they will be able to tell you what to eat/drink. and what else to do.

and they will be able to determine if you need to go to the hospital or not.

A temperature over 103 is considered dangerous.

idk hopsital bills can be pretty easy, like pay a small amount a month.

Call 911 tell them you have a 107 fever, no issuance and no way to pay. I bet they still send someone.

Seriously, you start burning off brain cells at 106. You could die!

you dont have to pay right away. they do payment plans for people that cant pay.

you can call 911 from a cell phonee.

i don’t think hospitals can refuse to treat someone with a problem that is life threatening even if they can’t pay. Call the nearest hospital and ask.

I used to install pay phone 911 calls never require money. If for some really odd reason 911 doesnt work, call 1-800-555-1212 and telll them you need 911

I highly doubt that a human being experiencing a 107 temperature can be so “agile while on the internet” while suffering. But if true, state your address in detail so that someone can call 911 for you.

Looking at this conversation, you were able to call the nurses hotline in 12 minutes. So you are less then 12 minutes from a payphone. They don’t just install payphones in the country, so you have to be 12 minutes from some sort of populated area.

Either you are playing around and just having fun on help.com, or you have a 107 fever and could die.

That’s what I’m thinking, but it wouldn’t be cool if someone really is suffering.
