life help: My story begins when I became pregnant in highschool. - Help.com

My story begins when I became pregnant in highschool.

It was never a question as to what I was going to do. I was going to have my baby. I believe I did a great job raising my daughter considering my circumstances. I, with the help of my husband, went to college and we built ourselves a life without having to depend on public assistance or without any help from either set of parents. About a year ago my husbands job went to China and he is making less than half what he is used to. We built a new house about six months before we found out he would be jobless. My work history has been very sporatic over the years because of my afflictions, one being a panic disorder. I cannot hold a job for very long before this ruins it. It’s frustrating and i’m at my wits end. My daughters tution is almost $50,000 per year and I’ve already tapped out my credit co-signing on loans for her. I have no idea what to do next.

$50,000/yr? Holy moly.

Your daughter should lower her lifestyle expectations. She may have to do work study or take some financial aid.

If that’s not enough, she may have to transfer to a state school or get a scholarship.

okay your profile says you like in NY so

apply for fafsa. type FAFSA into google, the site will come up.
its better to find a FAFSA office and have them apply for you (its completely free because they are government provided)

depending everything thats filled out on the application. and considering the income is only 50,000 she could very possibly go to school for free!! (like me :])

try this, i really didnt think it would help, but mom went to the FAFSA office and im sooo shocked that they paid for my tution. :] (all four years too!)
