SweetLips, that is not true. No offense, but when people say that, it REALLY annoys me. Limewire does not let viruses into your system. People’s stupidity does. All limewire is designed to do is to share files and folders. THAT is all!!! Hence it’s not just for downloading music. You can download anything. Basically all you are doing is copying something from someone else. As it happens, most people use it for music. Either way, if you are sensible enough to have proper virus and spyware protection on your laptop, you can’t get viruses as if you try to download a file with a virus, it will tell you and ask you if you want to continue. Equally, just to make a point, that is not limewire’s fault as so many people think. It is the other persons fault for creating the virus, and your fault for downloading it.

It is INCREDIBLY obvious when a file contains a virus, even before you download it. So if people just had some sense and checked the file details before downloading it, they would be ok. Equally, if your computer has the right protection, there is no worry either!!!!
