iPod help: Buying another mp3 player? - Help.com

Buying another mp3 player?

It seems that after years of use and abuse with not one off day, my mp3 player finally died.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend what mp3 player I should buy next? My old one was an iRiver iFP-795 (512 MB) and it fit my needs perfectly, though I wouldn’t mind having a bit more room for songs.

So.. any suggestions? (Should I just suck up my pride and just buy an iPod, or are they not all they’ve cracked up to be?)

My advice, avoid i anything. I got a Toshiba gigabeat(unsure of the model #)
for $150USD. It came with 30gb of memory, video support, composite yellow
white and red cords to play through the TV, a built in speaker, the common
cords(it charges via power outlets, not USB), and a thing for that vongo.
I had issues getting the vongo working but otherwise it has been great.

The ONLY advantage I would say the iPod and zune have are the
easy access to accessories like car chargers, cases, ect.
