Ok, well, first things first. The medical dictionary defines “Bulimia nervosa is characterized by frequent episodes of binge eating, from twice a week to multiple times a day, followed by frantic efforts to avoid gaining weight.”

Does this sound like you?

If so, then congrats because you’ve already completed step 1, admitting you have the problem. And it seems pretty obvious that you want to correct the problem too. If you seriously think you have the problem, talk about it with friends and family, get them to help you work through it. For instance they can monitor your food intake for you, keep an eye on you so you don’t rush off to the bathroom right after you eat, etc. You’ve got the right mind set to want to get over it, now you just have to initiate it which is the hard part. If all else fails, you could seek medical help, but who knows how well those guys will do versus those that truly care about you. Just always remember that there are people out there who love you, and by continuing to be bulimic your not only hurting yourself in the long run (the acid will tear up your throat, teeth, and whatever else) but your also hurting your family. Don’t expect your family to know you have the problem either because bulimia is one of the easiest things to cover up, and statistics show that people of normal weight tend to be the most common sufferers, so your friends and family might not have the slightest clue.
