i’m 16 years old & six months ago i moved into my dad’s apartment after living w/ my mom since i was five after they divorced.
i was taken out of the home bc the judge found that her and her boyfriend were mistreating me. so i have been with my dad & recently i woke up in the middle of the night & walked past him doing something on the couch. he quickly covered it up, but i was pretty sure i saw marijuana. my younger brother who is 13 mentioned that dad goes into the bathroom with a shoebox and then it always smells afterwards so i have been paying attention to this. sometimes he asks to borrow my money because he doesn’t have enough of his own. this morning he went to work & i went in his room & in a baggie in his drawer i saw it and a pipe. i don’t know what to do since i can’t turn to my mom because were not on speaking terms but my aunt is like my best friend. i am scared and embarassed to tell because the problem probably can’t be solved. my mom told me once that my dad was a pothead and alcoholic but i didn’t believe her now i know it’s true and that was 10 years ago. i’m not sure if i should tell my aunt because i’m very close to her. i really need advice & help
