How do u handle it when u been overweight u were taught to eat wrong ur mom was big her mom was big!

! an now ofcourse ur big!!! i been strugglin 22 yrs now im a great kind wonderful woman, and would give my worse enemy the clothes on my back or the last piece of food if they needed it!! but when im depressed i eat and when im mad i eat!!! an no matter what i do i have a hard time to motivate myself to lose weight/!!!! im a beautiful girl young and all but cant get a good relationship based on my weight im 5;’2 and weigh 180!!! i cant talk to anyone i dont trust people because they blab what i tell them or they satb me in the back!!!

try to instead of eating when you get angry or sad look for an easy way to exercise. Exercise is the key to losing weight and good exercise is even better then a good diet.

It must be hard to distance yourself from your families genes, but try not to let that crush your spirit. The more you exercise the better you will feel.

Thats just my two cents, sorry i cant be more of a help

I feel you sister. Food is always there for you unlike people. It’s an easy fix and comfort. You really have to think before you eat. Think about why you are eating. Don’t eat it if you know it’s just because of emotional pains. Wait until you are hungry to eat. Your body is a good guide for that. I have done the same thing myself.

first off… weight doesnt make us who we are personally… and if anyone judges you on what you look like.. then they arent worth having in your life in the first place.. as for eating when you get upset… instead of grabbing that piece of food… grab a notebook… and start writing.. write down your feelings… and it will not only help you understand what you are feeling.. but it will keep your hands busy… with out putting food to your mouth..

I know how that feels, I’m 5′2 and weigh 163, and I think I look gross. But I joined Curves and I actually enjoy working out there. I’ve already lost 9 inches! If I can do it (and I eat no matter what emotion) then you can.
Change your thinking!! YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF WHAT YOU EAT! FOOD IS NOT IN CONTROL OF YOU! Just remember that.

I don’t know to many people that were taught to eat right, but the good news is that there is plenty of information out there and you can teach yourself now to eat healthy.

If you can’t take your mind off of eating, maybe try eating something with less calories in it but that is filling too
Try excercising, even a walk down the road will help you, reading for 3 hours in a hammock will even make you lose around 150 calories, try looking up sites for tips on how to overcome your weight problem too
Don’t however go for those diets you see going around or diet pills etc. that you can buy in shops because they are in no way healthy for you, maybe you’ll lose weight but you’ll be damaging your body in other ways in the process
The best way to diet healthily is to cut down on the foods you eat or try a halthier version of what you eat, for example a homemade burger will be healthier for you than a burger you’ll get out of a fish and chip shop
Simple changes like these in your lifestyle will help you lose weight
