This site is for venting, right?

I vented, and a few people yelled at me.

Like talking about something that is bugging you, and just letting it all out.

Did you vent in your own post, or as a reply in another person’s? It can be seen as obstruction if you do it in someone else’s post, especially if the subject or the poster is vulnerable.
My advice to anyone who wants to vent on this site is to make clear in the first line of their post that that is what they are doing - that prevents any misunderstandings and hopefully keeps everyone away that isn’t in the right mood to appreciate it / accept it.

I did it in my own post. And I even said “Sorry, I’m just venting”

Well try not to take what they say to heart
Those people are just giving their opinions on whatever it is
If they don’t think something is right then they’re gonna say it
There are a few people that aren’t going to be nice with what they have to say though as with practically all websites you’re on no matter what good intention the site has

Perhaps you’d like to let people see the post? Nobody yelled at you for venting.

I did however, ask you to refrain from naming people online and causing them unnecessary embarassment by discussing their bedroom activities.

I’m sorry if you misunderstood that as yelling at you for venting. As I said, venting is fine.

I hope you understand a little better now. Good luck.

Well, than I think you walked into some wrong people, or people in very wrong moods at the least. You know that you can report a reply, when it makes you feel attacked or disrespected, don’t you?
If you want to get some specific advice on why people yelled (and how to avoid it or them) I would be willing to take a look at the post to see what happened. Allthough that kind of takes away the idea of being anonimous I guess.

I think that I shouldn’t have said 2 things together, although it was like I was venting and yet excited at the same time. My uncle is semi-famous where I live, and so I was excited and showed the people his page in wikipedia.

Yet I was venting and saying things about him. Though I do not see the problem with saying those things seperatly…if you get what I mean.
