Aphids?

Dozens of aphids appear to be coming through my bedroom window screen at night. I cant shut my window, because it’s too hot. Is there anything i can do to get rid of these little buggers?

Try getting some insect repellent. You can get the ones that plug into your wall sockets and evaporate the repellent throughout your room at night.

Lady bugs love to eat aphids. That is a great environmentally safe way of controlling them and many gardening stores carry them

Don’t worry…
1.) Lady bugs (actually they are not bugs at all, rather they are beetles) will go where the aphids are. Once the aphids are gone, the lady beetles will go to where more aphids are
2.) Lady beetles are migratory. Once the feeding season is over, the typically migrate toward the mountains and hang-out in groups to keep warm.

I had the same problem, but I also had lots of spiders too.

I hired Vita Green; a lawn/tree care company, to fumigate inside my home and outside; trees, grass, base of house, sheds, decks, downstairs . . . Needless to say I have not had the problem since.

Scalar, that’s a great idea! Will they (lady beatles) eat those tiny black bugs that sometimes come in store bought plants?

After I bought a couple house plants, I noticed they seem to multiply quickly and nothing I’ve tried works on these little buggers!

yup!
There is a big movement in the field of entomologists (bug biologists) to try and use insect’s own natural history to help control their populations, in order to help reduce pollution! I think it’s a super cool idea!

I live in seattle–all of a sudden there are hundreds of tiny green bugs in my backyard. They are on all the wood patio furniture, against the back wall of the house, on the rubber tires of my bike, even on my wetsuit I have hanging out to dry. Are these aphids and what can I do about them?

Read the replies above. Scalar had the idea of getting some ladybugs in to eat all the aphids. Maybe you should try that.

A cat!

Seriously though, cats are great for these kinds of things. Any pests that are not dangerous, the cat will eat. Now if the cat goes missing… time to call pest control.

Borrow a neighbors cat… tell them you are experimenting with trick photography.
