Well here’s my story.

I am a divorced female who has just moved back in with my exhusband. We are both in our early 50’s and he was in construction and I was a manager at a sandwich shop. When I moved back I thought I would find a job with no problem. Well now I’m out of money and the bills are all due. I was dumb enough to put 7500 on a credit card for a work from home business that hasn’t made a dime and he hasn’t made a dime in months. I have filled out about 75 apps and when he applied at Home Depot and Lowes they said he was over qualified. I dont know if we can’t find jobs beacuse of our age or what. As for the home buisness Stay Away from them. The guy who talked me into this said I would make my mony back in 2 months well that was a crock. All I did was add one more bill that I cant pay. I guess be this time next month we will be homeless living under a bridge somewhere.

I think it is so sad that two people with all your experience cannot find work. There is an employer in the UK who make a point of taking on mature employees. Is there anyone like that where you live?

Do you have any skills you could use to make money? When I lost my job I set myself up teaching elderly people to use computers in their homes. It cost virtually nothing to set up and word of mouth got my business growing. They appreciated a mature person teaching them. I also knitted socks, which people love, sold garden herbs and sold stuff I had no more use for on ebay.

I hope that the people who have been on here looking for internet money making schemes read this and take heed.

Are you and your ex-husband back together? Age is such a stupid predjudice! It’s not like you are about to drop down dead! I really hope you both get good well paying jobs that you deserve…

Try several temp agencies and city, county, state and federal jobs. Consider babysitting, lawn mowing, house sitting, pet sitting or a volunteer job that gets you out in the community meeting people for leads.

Cleaning contracts (offices)may hold you over until you find something else. Good luck:)
