Law issues
On 4th of July a group of 5 of my friends walked outside onto a path up a huge grassy hill off the path and we watched fireworks. Roughly 5 minutes later another friend showed up with several more people and they brought alcohol. They claimed they were 21 and I thought nothing of it.
I had not a single drink that night this is no lie
several cops showed up and announced for everyone to stand up (as we were sitting up hill and they were at the bottom)
we all stood up and put our hands up and they lined us up and marched us down to a street to their cars
one by one they took down our names heights ect and they asked if we had been drinking
the people who had drink said they had and were issued and MIP the people who did not said no and were still issued MIPS
no breathalizer no sobriety tests 12 of us got MIPS
Is this legally okay or can I beat this in court them having zero evidence I drank (and I did not)
if it matters I went straight home and my mom and I recorded my alibi on video camera to show that I was not intoxicated physically and was no impaired in anyway
