Does anyone know about welfare and custody laws in the state of Wyoming?

? My boyfriend did find out that his ex’s baby is his. . He recieved a letter stating that since she was on welfare when the baby was born and now he is the proven father, he is responsible for the doctor bill. Which doesnt really make sence because they have not been married and he was not with her during the pregnancy. Does anyone know anything about this issue?? Just kinda wondering? Thanks!

Consult with a lawyer. In most states if a couple was never married they will need a paternity test to prove that your boyfriend is responsible.

He will need to pay the doctor’s bills, child support and pay welfare back for any money the welfare agency gave the mom that was his responsibility.

If he is not a jerk, the child will want him in his life.
