school help: Education is my mian priority for my children. - Help.com

Education is my mian priority for my children.

I’m a single mother of 3, I was able to educate my oldest child in private schools and he turned out to be a fine citizen. Now I have 2 younger chidren and I had a stroke and lost everything when my business went under. I have 4th grader and 8th grader in a private catholic school and cannot pay the tuition but I won’t leave the school. Thank God I havn’t been told to leave but I’ve been told I’ll have to pay something. My main concern is my daughter is going into the eighth grade and is an A student . Her goal is to be doctor and wants to go to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks Calif. I’m trying to find a way to make this possible, it’s not as easy as it was when I was younger and not handicapped. For some reason I thought I’d try the Inernet and ask for help. Thank you (email removed)

Maybe you should let your children go to public school instead, this way you will not have to pay the higher costs of sending your children through the expenses of a private school. In addition to this, the begining grades, all before the start of high school, are not academically counted, and the stress for a higher quality eduction, if that is why you chose private schooling, shouldn’t come into account until this time. In conclusion, the defining diploma of any person, is that of a college degree, not a graduation, or promotion from high school. Plus, public schools, even though they are wrongly thought to be of lower academic standards, youth are allowed to voice more of their opinions and thoughts related to the subjects, this is something that allows for youth to develop better debate and social skills, as well as developing networking skills to be applied in the future.

I hope this response sheds some light onto your post. Good Luck.

If you cannot afford private school than the kids have to go to public school. Give the kids your time, a library card, the internet and tools to make them grow such as good art supplies, books & internet courses to learn a foreign language, a musical instrument, …. whatever is available and free or reasonably priced in your community. They should do fine.

There are many fine board games that foster learning.
