If you can find a computer to buy for what money you have you could put windows XP on it, I’m sure theres at least 1 easy to access place it can be pirated from, if you cant find one they usually pack the software with the computer itself.

I think you should just be honest with the rents.

I think your folks are going to find out what happened anyway… they probably had documents / photos etc on their computer?? Besides - they always know when somethings happened! My advice would be to come clean. Admit you messed up - apologise and do the responsible thing - offer to pay them back as you can afford each week.

There really isnt another option. Take a deep breathe and prepare to say sorry.

Everyone messses up - it takes some guts to admit to it and sort it out.

Was it you or one of your friends that threw it out the window? If it wasn’t you, there may be other options.

In this case. Honesty is the best policy. They’ll know something isn’t right. The new PC will not look like the old one. But if you were to lie, you could say, that the computer crashed due to a virus. Or it caught on fire, etc, etc. And the company replaced the old comp w/new one, cus it was defective. Now, when you say this lie, you have to be able to sell yourself. If they are to believe you. If you’re a lightweight, then it’s impossible. But then you gotta go in depth and lie through your teeth. Are you willing to join the dark side? Otherwise, if you’re an innocent kid, just tell the truth. It’s simpler. And you get to keep your soul.
