I am married to a wonderful woman, but I have no idea why I cant love her anymore.

I try to force it, but I cant be emotionally close to her. We have been through an affair (on my part and hers) and now her (very wealthy) parents have disowned me and my 2 boys, whom I have custody of. I am not an ugly guy, and I have a good career. I just cant imagine the thought of being alone at age 40. She is very beautiful, and that alone makes me so confused as to why I cant open up and love her anymore.

Well - you said you both cheated on each other.
Her parents will have nothing to do with you and your sons.
I am guessing - you’ve had enough.
Maybe just time to move on?
Looks arent everything. And, frankly, to stay together just because you dont want to be alone - not a very good idea.
