Week help: My skin is so unattractive! - Help.com

My skin is so unattractive!

I have pimples, my skin is discolored, and bumpy all over (and those aren’t pimples!).

I keep my skin clean, do various facial treatments weekly, and still no dice.

Yeah my skin has gotten a little less pimply, but there are still bumps and acne scars over that are just as bad as the acne itself! D:

What shall I do?

((Also, I can’t really afford all those fancy acne treatments so…Drugstore prices are all I can afford…))

That is very true, it dries out the skin and makes it worse, I figured this out the hard way.

LASER TREATMENTS?

I don’t think that I can talk to a dermatologist and get laser treatments for under $50….

I am in the same situation, I can’t use any treatment because my of my skin, it makes it worse, any of them, and the fact that I play alot of sports doesn’t help.

I remember seeing a pill by the Pharmacy that was for acne and didn’t require a prescription. Find out the name and ask your own doctor. It might help. It’s a combination of oil, bacteria and sebus. Washing it too much will irritate it. I know you said that you can’t afford some stuff. I tried proactive and it really worked for me.

ok here is a good one, by putting it on the web i am already doing some one wrong.

get cotten pads and a egg

crack the egg, seperate the yoke and get rid of it, take the white, put it on your face, everywhere.

put the cotton over the egg white

wait till it dries.

when you take it off every one of your pours will have emptied out onto the pad, rather disgusting, like eighty little maggots on each pad, but it does work amazingly well

Ah! I made a couple of videos on youtube…And “Black don’t Crack” is a saying referring to older black women. A rough translation would be, “As a black woman ages she’s less likely to get wrinkles”

I have to say that does sound pretty sketchy, not sure I would try it or not.

the guy knows somthing, it sounds strange, but i does work, the white tightens when it is dried, constricting the pores making them expel

I would suggest seeing a dermatologist who could recommend a proper treatment for your skin type since everyone’s skin is more or less sensitive to different things in the environment. But you might also try an exfoliant product like Oil of Olay’s Age Defying Cleanser. Although you may not be of the age where you need to defy aging, this product has really been effective in maintaining healthy skin.

Along with other great suggestions I put up a link to something about it here…

http://help.com/post/92587-i-have-so-…

You want to make sure to slough off the dead skin cells that accumulate on the surface of the skin and mix with bacteria and oil to cause infection. Exfoliate, cleanse then reapply a moisturizer with sun screen and you may start noticing a difference in your skin within a month. Make sure to only use it on a small patch of your skin first to test and see if it is right for your skin type. I have had allergic reactions to some creams or products - although not with Oil of Olay products or any of the others I mention.

I find that sometimes when you use the same acne face washer too often, your face gets immuned to it so it stops working. You should consider switching between face washs (like have 2 different ones)

Also, for the scars, the most important advice I can think of is to continue moisturizing with non-oil creams - that’s the best solution to keep revitalizing your skin.

You can also use make up foundation to cover up little scars but make sure it’s the ones that do not clog your pores (like MAC cosmetics). You could try Clinique who are known for offering non-allergy foundation/concealer ^_^

Scars can be removed by massaging cocoa butter, shea butter, Vitamin E oil or taking capsules. More home remedies are listed at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/stretchma…

Liquid vitamin E and aloe gel will help the scars heal a bit. And they are both available at Walgreens for under 50 bucks :)
