2greeneyes goes boating and son catches robbers in the act

Yet another adventure with 2greeneyes. This just in.

Yes another adventure of 2greeneyes has happened. We worked 10 and 12 hour days to be able to go to a favorite Lake. Schedules arranged, gas painfully bought and off we went to join about 20 friends dry camped by the Lake. Everyone sharing and caring and having a great time. I sent my son, he is 23, back to the boat for a forgotten item to contribute to a meal.
He got to the boat and heard Spanish conversation going on in the aft cabin. Their were two men going through our things. One man tried to grab him by the throat. My son is a three time international champion in Tae Kwon Do and kicked thier a$$es. I hope they learned their lesson. They did steal my emergency pain pills I keep in a safty kit for us and also pain pills I keep in case one of my dogs suffer an injury and needs pain relief. They will need both. Blood and glass all over the boat. They damaged locked cabin door and I hope it was as memorable for them as it was for us! Crime doesn’t pay and we are very thankful.

I started him when he was four. I was interested in break away techniques for children. I was so concerned how many children were missing every year. It is amazing how far he has taken it.
It has served him well and he has traveled all over, representing the United States. I am so glad he wasn’t taken by surprise and hurt or killed. I was going to go back to the boat and he offered!

That is scary. I am glad your son was not hurt. I have been wanting to get my kids involved in karate classes. Now I see it is definitely worth it.

It was well worth it. He does not start fights. He has helped women in need when he saw something. He has had to deal with drunk men before and one guy had road rage cause his car (my son’s) had a problem with all cylinders running) and the man tried to hit him. Also he volunteered time to teach the girls scouts break away techniques during cookie sales. He also teaches womens self defense.

I too am glad your son wasn’t hurt. I always love hearing stories when people have used Martial Arts to defend themselves. It’s also nice to hear stories when the bad guys suffer. I’m sorry about the damage they caused. Send my congratulations to your son :)

What a relief your son wasn’t hurt or injured. Those guys sure learned a lesson from the university of life!

My daughter has joined the police. In four weeks she will have finished training and be let loose on the public. A 5′5″, 20 year old blonde, I am so worried as all she has is her basic training to help her. And no guns in the uk. Although a promise of stun guns ’sometime’ in the future.

Yes, I too am thankful their were no weapons involved Shellfish. I have scared myself several times imagining what could of happened.
I hope she enjoys her career and stays safe. Is she interested in seeking martial arts training? Especially since her career choice can be dangerous and physical.

hehehehe… so glad that you all are fine.. and remember.. although it is bothersome to know all that stuff was broken and such.. you guys still have your lives.. material things can be replaced… and in hopes that these guys get caught soon and have to pay every dime back that you have to put back into your possessions.. but of course.. not until they down those dog pills… hehehehehehe… ~ruff ruff~

Incredible! I’m so glad your son didn’t get hurt, they could have had a gun or something. It’s always nice to hear when the good guys win though!

Thank god your son was not hurt, and thanks to you for investing in Tae Kwon Do lessons:)! Hopefully these guys wont be prepared to be more aggressive next time. Did you hand them over to the police?
