I Desperately Need This Movie’s Title!
OK, this is going to be kind of vague and I’m sorry, but I can only remember so much. I think the movie was made in the early 90’s (or mid to late 80’s) as a children’s movie. It has a guy (maybe 11 years old???) that meets a girl (around his age) in the woods. One scene I can remember involves their initial meeting when he’s walking through the woods and gets stung by a stinging nettle plant and she pops up out of nowhere and puts a leaf of some other plant on the wound to take out the pain. He finds out that she and her grandmother live together in a cabin in the woods and everyone thinks they’re witches. He befriends her and finds out that she’s not a witch, just a very unusual mountain person. They end up having some sort of adventure (I’ve been hit in the head too much to remember fully). I assume there’s another back-story that I forgot, but I haven’t seen this movie in like 12 years.
I know the point of the story is to never judge people and to accept each other as individuals and like them just for who they are, but… I still can’t find the name of this movie anywhere in my brain or IMDB… help?!
Can anyone PLEASE tell me the name of it?
