i think i am jealous of my best friend

So i don’t know where to really start… so here it goes. I have been dating my boyfriend since high school and i am a recent college graduate. we are about ready to move in together and i can’t be more excited. I honestly can’t see myself with anyone else but him. but here is the problem. my best friend is a guy and he just showed me the engagement ring he bought for his girlfriend. I am happy for him because he is so excited, but part of me is angry and jealous and wishes it was me. I don’t know if it is just because i want to get engaged or what. What is wrong with me?

We all feel jealous when someone else gets what we want before we do. It’s a normal human emotion. Just keep it to yourself, your day will come! And then you won’t feel jealous anymore :)

The guy is your best friend and you have also given a sort of commitment to him, too. Thinking of all the time that you guys have spent together, laughing, crying, arguing, making up, etc, it might feel like you are losing him to someone else. You have a romantic partner for yourself and you need to concentrate on him. Good luck with your relationship and you might find yourself being engaged too.
