If you really like her then you should take the chance. Life is too short to sit and watch great opportunities pass you by. If she says yes then that’s great! If she says no then oh well, life goes on, right?

I think you should try like a test date and see how that goes, you know something a little romantic but not an official date. There you can test that waters throw some signals and see how she responds, if it goes well then ask her out.

At this point in your life there’s no need to commit 100% to anyone, but figuring out what you want in a relationship takes practice as well.

Talk to your friend down the street - admit how weird it is that you’ve known each other for so long and are now developing stronger feelings, and see how she responds.

If she’s not into it, then turn your attention elsewhere for a little bit - sports, schoolwork, your friends, etc. Sometimes a girl needs a bit of time to think about whether she likes you or not after she finds out you like her… don’t go and wreck it by immediately chasing another girl :)

But then again, don’t get so stuck on one girl that you’re miserable that she doesn’t feel the same! It’s a hard balancing act :)
