myspace help: do you think this would be a good subject - Help.com

do you think this would be a good subject

To do my report on for biology…

(it didn’t say it has to be about biology but rather on a scientific event therefore there should be no complaints)

Educational Benefits Of Social Networking Sites Such as myspace and such http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/...,

I was original planning to do it on http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/...

What do you think

First biology and myspace have nothing in common.. quickest way to an F and wasted time..
Second one is just offencive
talk to your teacher.. ask him/her what they think
i suggest someting more nutral otherwise you will get a terrible mark
perhaps do it on the newest redundant health craze Green Tea. or perhaps do it on the passing of genetics through parents to offspring.. both are easy A’s..

If you can gather enough legitimate resources to back up your conjectures then certainly. Don’t use Wiki…. but use the references they mention, defiantly use the online ones…. Just make sure they are from good sources.

Oh and the second one is not offensive… I don’t know where you got that notion from…and myspace can apply to biology depending on the teacher you could receive more marks for thinking outside the box…

First, to reiterate a point made by an earlier poster, if a biology teacher wants a biology report, it’s a safe bet you should stick to the subject of BIOLOGY. You shouldn’t have a problem coming up with a novel report on a biology-related “event” as it’s a comfortably diverse enough science discipline.
I rather doubt that the complex subject of “Psychology and Social Interaction in the Computer Age” is at all related to anything your grade level has introduced, much less a topic you can adequately address.
“Thinking out of the box” is all well and good… unless you’re wandering so far out of the box that a teacher will consider you lost, in which case a good teacher will jerk you back to reality with a poor grade.
Secondly, I hope you recognize just how poor typing/spelling can negatively influence grades. I’d encourage you to make a serious effort to proof/edit whatever you write for that report (and get in the habit of doing that when posting on message boards, too), unless your teacher doesn’t care about misspellings (or worse, incorrect word use, i.e., brake for break).
BTW- unless you’re just going for shock value (and actually want to fail), it’s patently ridiculous to think that a 14-yo (who shouldn’t even have expertise in the field of sexuality, yet) is capable of writing a serious “report” based on a single, sex-oriented article that itself is at a pre-clinical stage of investigation. My suggestion is to focus on topics that are age-appropriate and apropos to your class syllabus.

no. i dont think its a good idea. if its for biology, do something science related. whether it stated to do a life science related topic or not. its science class. also, for staying within topic, you might get a few extra points
