I am going blind and was wondering what do you all think I should try to see and do before I lose my sight?
I’m already completely blind in one eye (no light perception at all). I’m not scared or upset, though no one believes me when I say that. Since it’s already happened in the one eye, I know what to expect. And I’ve had time to prepare myself for the possibility of going totally blind. Though I’m only in my early twenties, I feel like I’ve done and experienced so much in this life already that I can only be grateful for the time I’ve been given. I’m actually kind of excited for the challenge of learning to live without vision. Anyway,
I expect to have about a year left of functional vision in my remaining eye. I don’t have a lot of money to travel the world, but I might be able to get together some cash to go one place truly special. What would you want to do and see if you knew your time was short?
My only regret is that I will never see the faces of my wife and children (though I’m single now, I hope to have a family someday). Every time I try to come up with a list of what I need to be sure to see this is all I can think of!
