computer help: My computer is broken. - Help.com

My computer is broken.

It is a Windows XP. It will go to the loading screen with the blue bar under the Winodws symbol. At a random point, it will just freeze. Can anyone help me?

urmm, i don’t know exactly what you are talking about, but you’d better ask a friend/use another computer to find the support number for windows xp, and contact them. they’ll either give you a solution, or offer to replace or repaiar your computer

I used to have the same problem. Try starting up in safe mode ( if possable ) and then go to “remove program” in the control panel. Sort the programs by date to find the most recent thing that was installed. This may be the cause of you problem.

BUT DON’T REMOVE IT YET!!!
It may also not be the cause of the problem.

If you think this may be the problem and you are okay with removeing it, go ahead. Then restart your computer and see if it worked!

Oh, and make sure to have a way to re-install it later, if you plan on doing just that.

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
