I’m homeless, living on Long Island, NY.

I need to find a place I can go to get me back on my feet immediately. Are there any organizations or shelters near Suffolk county?

so get a job. mcdonalds is always hiring. i’m not saying that in a mean way, but in my family we don’t ask for anything, we get up and do it. you are an able-bodied person capable of working? so get out there and do something.

I just need a shelter so I can do all those things necessary. I won’t be able to stay here for more than 3 days. I’m not asking for life advice, I’m asking for some kind of reference to an organization, like some sort of social services.

you should get in touch with social services down there, we, on here, can’t really help you. you have a computer, so search up on it, in the meantime, you should be looking for a job, and give a fake address, how would they really know? and like phuckit said, why can’t you use there address. i’ve been at my job for over 7 years and they have never once sent me anything at my home….

good luck

i realize this is a liitle late, but for anyone else that may be going through this problem here is an emeg. housing number 631 870 2463 and a helpline 18777276820. People should be more compassinate to others who are suffering, you have no idea how it is to be in the “homeless” persons shoe’s. I do and it sucks. And I have 2 jobs and still cann’t get on my feet. Good luck to all that need it.
