laptop help: I have a Toshiba satellite A215 with Vista. - Help.com

I have a Toshiba satellite A215 with Vista.

Vista is a little too resource intensive for me and I wanted to try installing XP on it. I have a version of XP that came with my dell dimension 2400 desktop; would I be able to install a desktop version of XP onto my laptop? Thanks for any help.

Reboot pc, hit f12, boot from cd, make sure u ahve the cd in, hit enter it’ll read u hit another key, than delete partition, and make a new one than install xp..
