Find something you can lose yourself in and escape from whatever reality is bogging you down, that world will only include yourself and the activity that is allowing you to escape and that world will be your savior when you are in need. Music, games, videos, a walk in the park… it is your preference.
Bah, you can feel awesome while looking like a complete nut case. Looks are overrated.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you looking like a nut case is what looks good to you then so be it.
Hey, it doesnt have to look good to you as long as it feels good. I think I look like a complete dope doing some of the things I love doing, but it makes me feel better anyway.
Feed stray kittens, feed the birds, plant something for the butterflies, paint…
Well name with no face, it looks like you just ruined your happiness.
those too… so i lost twice today… now to make it up in sleep…
Hmm… challenge yourself to try something you didn’t think you could do until you succeed at it. I am always reminded of my childhood and the first time I learned to ride a bike… what a rush! Or the first time I traveled abroad alone to a country I had never been to in my 20s. I had no idea what to expect …but what an adventure. Change of scenery may do the trick too? I like the suggestions above about helping someone else or an animal… that is certainly a boost!
