my mother and i having been living with my sister in her one bedroom apartment for some time now..

my mother has sickle-cell anemia and has been in and out of the hospital all year.. we have no car and i barely eat everyday.. i’ve applied for tons of jobs.
and grants but nothing..
and there seems to be no hope..
and we cant afford a place to stay.. but i am about to enter into my senior year in high school. and i have no space to myself.. im living out of my suitcase in a roach infested apartment.. im often scared to get up and go to the bathroom during the night.. i need help.. i need money to move into an apartment with my mother.. please help me..

Try your local Department of Human Services… they might tell you that you have to become emancipated first (if ur under 18), but they also might be able to help u (or your mom) get food stamps, moving funds, and/or cash assistance… Don’t be afraid to seek welfare/state assistance as a means of moving up and becoming financially independent… You have to start somewhere to move up, right? Also, try looking for jobs in fast food or customer service (like cashier positions), those are easiest for young folks to get…
