Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I have made it back to Arizona after quite a week. The accident took place last Sunday morning around 3 a.m. and was caused by a combination of alcohol, speeding, and bad road conditions. There were 5 boys in the car and only one of them lived. The boy who lived is still in the hospital, but has recovered amazingly fast and is out of the ICU. I knew two of the boys who died, but not as well as I knew the people they were friends with. This small town was very close to where I went to college and my friends and I hung out there a lot. I knew many many people who were insanely close with these 4 boys and there was no way that I wouldn’t have been there to offer my support to as many as I could. They did the viewings two at a time, two Wednesday night and two Thursday night. The funerals were at 10 and 1 the following days, respectively. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were the most hallowing days I’ve ever experienced. It’s awful to have to see parents bury their children.
The boys had very nice funerals and a good chunk of the town turned out. One in particular, had the most moving service I’ve ever been too. It was great to see how many people had loved him and how he had changed their lives.
Needless to say, I’m back, a little tired and worn, but back nonetheless and should be getting on my feet shortly.

Glad to hear you are back, although it sounds very traumatic. It will take to recover from something like this. Accept the support of your friends, you will need it. Best wishes.
