help.com should have an ignore list.

now this is just a thought, if you don’t like the idea you make leave the post now.

ok, an ignore list would be great :-) i enjoy meeting all the people on this site and alot of them are very kind, but for the small portion of people that we don’t appreciate, why do we have to listen to them When we could simply end the argument by putting each other on an ignore list, therefore their would be less bans/blocks, it would keep the help.com community less violent and no arguments on posts, the mods would have less posts to keep up with making their job easier.
and it would be easy to create! just stick in the option next to the friends list “ignore list”

again if you have nothing good to say please leave now :-)
let me know what you think guys :)

Cause in life you have to learn to tolerate people you don’t always like.

Sometimes ignoring people is better then battling things out with them and making the situation even worse

Hello ken. I also agree :-)

but you must admit how less arguments would be flowing around if their was a way to ignore your rivals instead of arguing over a post or shouts :P

Besides, even if we had the ignore option, people quoting other’s text would reveal to us what our “enemy” said, thereby ruining the whole ignore concept.

a lot of people would use the ignore list when they read advice they dont want to hear. Sometimes, even if you dont want to hear it, you need to because its the flat out truth, while others are trying to sugar coat it.- I’m not sure if you were saying something like that Ken. I sont want you to think i was copying you or anything if you were, sorry! :)

I do agree that there are other people on here who just say things to be mean and arrogant, which would be nice to ignore, but i guess we can just ignore them on our own.

well i think an ignore list would be a very good thin to have, BUT, most of the trolls here have one time use accounts. And the mods ban them very quickly. As for the long time users you dont like…well that doesnt happen too often.
