Can any one let me know that whether contraceptive pills can be used to cure skin ailments like pimples or like?

?? Let me know cause its very crucial as my girlfriend is using them for skin treatment.

Yes they can in most cases, it even helps for period pains as per my ex-girlfriend.

My current girlfriend had bad skin and tried the pill but it just further upset her hormones and she started getting chest pains and mood swings, although it helped her skin, it wasn’t worth the pains etc so she stopped. I suppose it has different effects on different people.

yes :) certainly can.
mines stopped my PMS as well.. on my mates one, even her periods have stopped! so birth control pills are good for a lot of things. :)

I think you should use drugs / creams / pills etc only for their intended purpose and not hope for some side-effects to solve other problems you have.

the hormones that are in these drugs help spots and pms :)

its an overload of a wrong that creates spots and PMS n stuff. taking the pills regulates it :)

I dont really know how these things work. If just makes sense to me that you should use the right tools for the right purpose. Pimples are sometimes caused by your diet, or excess oil in your skin.. they could be handled by eating differently, or using special soaps / shampoo….

But I guess if it works for you, theres no harm..

its only for women though.. its the hormones that make oil build up in your skin.
