Aww if they know you really love it that much I’m sure they’ll let you go anyway? Or am I being really naive?

oh my go I know how you feel. I graduated 2 months ago from high school and I have to say it’s a really sad experience. Well, all I did was try to hang out with my friends and have a great time and not think that’s it’s really over. In time it’ll pass. Trust me. :)

This is not a dumb post at all. I know it is upsetting to go through these life changes. Yes you graduated and you are moving on to your college life but you can still talk to your friends. You can do band in college. College can be a another great part of your life. Don’t dwell so much in the past but embrace your new future. Also just because you are going to go into a new futre doesn’t mean you are done with all your friends. just stay in contact with them. Is it allowed for you to go visit everyone at band camp. Maybe if you dropped in to say hi it would help. Call them and talk to your friends.

Yuck. High school is the worst thing ever and I was the happiest person ever to be out. I can’t imagine missing it.

I felt the same way when I left college. You find outher ways to play instruments. There should be other clubs or music programs at your new college. Besides with any change it takes time to start to feel better.

Leaving school isn’t then end of anything. That’s an illusion that most people experience. When you leave school- you are jumping into a world of uncertainties and you’ll find there are many more choices to make. band camp was just the beginning, school was just the beginning, and a boyfriend is just the beginning. Move forward always.

It is very tough to leave something that was a big part of your life. You can still keep in touch with your friends and former band mates. Is there an opportunity for you to work at the band camp as a teacher or counselor? That could be a great option for you. Since your college does not have a band you could see if there are any musical groups there. Often times colleges will not have an official “team” or band but may have extra curricular groups that you could look into. Just remember all the great experiences that you had with band and look at it in a positive way that you had the opportunity to be a part of something great.
