Help with unique Baby Boy Names
My boyfriend and I can’t decide on a boy name we like enough to stay with. We like kind of unique names like Brendan and Jayden, but we aren’t in love with them. We don’t like crazy names though like Abdul or anything in that region. We also don’t like normal names like John or Michael. I guess the way to put it is we like normal american names, just kind of with a twist on them. We are thinking the middle name will be Anthony and the last name is Melcolm. Sorry for being so confusing about this! His daddy’s name is Derek William Melcolm, but we don’t want a Jr.
Thanks for your help!!!

7 Naming Mistakes:
1) Make sure the initials don’t spell something awful.
2) Make sure the first and last name doesn’t sound like another word.
3) Avoid names where the first name rhymes with the last name, or first name ends in a vowel and the second name starts with a vowel as they tend to run together.
4) Avoid childish names.
5) Don’t choose a name you are not happy with.
6) Avoid celebrity names that may suddenly become unpopular.
7) Don’t pick a name that’s hard to pronounce and spell.

I agree get married first its best for the child. I’ve been married over 20 years the worst thing you could do is bring a child into an unstable environment plus its just not morally the right thing to do.
if they dont want to get married they dont have to. has long has the dad is in the kid life it will be fine
why get married? Honestly, i don’t understand it. No offence, but how can someone promise to love someone forever? And what’s with the ‘death do us part?’ doesnt it mean ’till divorce do us part?’
Getting married is just a formality, as long as a kid has a stable parent willing to give it the love/attention and care it needs. The kid won’t even know the difference between married and not married for at least the first ten years of his life!
names have a profound influence on peoples lives.
imagine if your parents named you S*H*I*T*H*E*A*D.
you can see what that would do.
to check your names see:
how about levi i love that name or buster thats cute 2

only if you and he can’t handle a baby or being together FOREVER. financial responsibility is HUGE, 18 years of bills, and sending your kid to college? by as a single mother? or still shacking up with your boyfriend (and your mom) at age 40?

I dont think getting married will determine how much you love your child, and getting married is just a piece of paper, if you love one another thats all that matters. Good Luck with everything

The disheveled state of the nuclear family is the number one reason for poverty at this point in time in society. Stability brings the accumulation of wealth and “committed” marriage brings stability.

No getting married is not just a peace of paper, or even religious mombo jumbo. It is a statement of commitment, and it is that commitment that is important. The idea that this individual plans to split up with her boyfriend some time in the future (her reason not to get married) means that their commitment to each other is very lax and only speaks poorly of their love for their child. Through their actions, this child has a more likely chance to live in poverty, to have an unstable life and in the future is at greater risk of starting his own dysfunctional family. And the downward spiral continues and continues.
besides.. divorce didn’t even exist until it was invented by Henry VIII. when you get married to someone, you are supposed to go into it with the idea that you never want to be with anyone else, ever.
and you are not supposed to be producing children (there are too many in the world already) until after you promise to be with that person forever, with a legal contract and a ring on both parties’ fingers to show that promise. it’s about commitment.
Well anyway like I said before, nothing some person I don’t even know on the internet is going to concvince me to go and marry my boyfriend. Push your views and beliefs onto someone who is going to listen to them. Thanks for sticking up for me though, those of you who did. And thanks for remembering what this post was about others that did.
My son is born now by the way. We named him Brendan Anthony.
that is a nice name
Derek Anthony Melcolm
