period/pregnancy question.

i am on the pill, yaz, and i missed my period. it tells me to just go on taking it, and by the second month if i miss it see a doctor. but i’ll be freaking out.

can i take an at home pregnancy test a week or so after i miss my period ( like normal people) or will my pill usage keep the test from being correct?

thank you, i’m very scared.

I am not sure if the pill will mess up the resalts. The best thing to do is read the pamphlet that comes with the test and if you can’t find the answer there most all places have a nurse hotline that you can call and ask. I do know that the test are as auccurate as those that the Doctors give I had an rn tell me that.

First of all, try to remain calm. If you stress out, it will effect your period.
You can still take a pregnancy test. Test are designed to read ONLY the pregnancy hormone, I believe (correct me if I am wrong) HcG.

I recommend using your first morning urine. It will give you a more accurate reading.

I wish you luck. Please keep us posted!!

I will pray for you!

Have you just started taking the pill, or recently switched from another one? that can cause you to skip. stress is another big cause.
