i think you are old enough to change your name to its old one. try going to a registry office? or talk to your teacher about it.

You don’t have to change your last name if you don’t want to because you’re old enough to make that sort of choice. Tell her you feel comfortable with your last name, which you’ve had your entire life, and that you’re not ready for or willing to change. Tell her this can affect you deeply emotionally and socially if she does it and explain why. Just because she’s changed her life and gotten a new last name doesn’t mean you have to too; you didn’t marry this guy so why change? Also, go see what you can do about this. Go to the nearest court or something.

I almost had to do the same thing. When my mom and dad got divorced, my mom got custody of me and I had to move to a new school and there was nobody I knew there. At my old school it wouldn’t have mattered if my last name changed to something weird because my friends would have helped me through it. Well anyways when my mom told me she wanted to change our last names back to her maiden name, I didn’t even know what it was. She told me the name is Knippa. Its dutch. So I told her I didn’t want to change my last name, and she said I didn’t have a choice. And I was so mad, I called my dad. He said I could keep my last name and that he would talk to my mom about it. He also said if worst came to worst I could always go have my name changed when I was 18. Don’t get embarrassed at school when they make fun of you. Laugh with them. And if you are embarrassed, don’t let them know. Just play it off. It’ll get old after a while.
