okay, i do this like this:
x,y
(1,3)
(2,5) going up on the x-side, subtract, 2-1=1 going up on the y-side, subtract, 5-3=2 , now since slope is y/x then the slope is 2/1, or 2, next you take the equation y=mx+b, and insert 2 into “m” which is also known as the slope. so now, the equation reads: y=2x+b, to find “b”, you take either 1,3 and solve the equation like this: 3=2x+1, or take 2,5 and solve the equation like this: 5=2x+2

intercept form is y=mx+c

m is the gradiant and c the intercept.

to find the gradiant you need to look at the 2 points (x,y)

teh gradiant is defined as the the change in y over the change in x so
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)= m

once you have this you can then find c by multiplying the x of one of the points by m and then looking at the differnce between that and the y value.
as y=mx+c
