How do i fix this?

Yet again i have managed to screw up my love life. I have been having a secret relationship with my best friend (hes male im female). We spend all our time together but infront of other people we are just friends. It seems to work out for the best that way. but it also causes problems.

For instance, one of my other friends was talkin to me the other day about the guy im in a relationship with (lets call him John for the sake of a name). he was saying John was going on a date with this girl i know today. i know if he knew what was going on with me and john he wouldnt have said anything. so thats been eating away at me for a few days. Im the type of person who will keep things bottled up because i dont know how to deal with it. this morning i text him and basically broke up with him. he never told me about the date so of course i thought the worst.

it turns out it was another friend who set him up on a date without asking him first and he didnt want to say no in case he would insult the other girl. thing is i actually believe him. i wasso hurt at the thought of him going off with someone else i said a lot of hurtful things to him in the message this morning and i think i might have really messed things up this time. I feel really bad and i want him back but i think i might have ruined it… any ideas how i can fix this please???

Well first of all, If you care so much about him you probably shouldn’t be dating your best friend behind his back. Secondly, If you jump the gun like that than all you can do is wait for thier reply and hope that they will forgive you in the end.

Tell him your sorry, and simply explain why you said the things you said. He should understand that hearing from a friend he is going on a date will hurt you. You said what you said because your in love with him and you thought it was in jeapardy, it shows you care.
Just remember to talk to him before doing anything rash in the future, and make sure he knows this too.

One bad text wont ruin everything.

you obviously didnt read the post properly… im only seeing the one person. he is my best friend. has been since the day we met. its just we prefer to keep things between us quiet. Im not a slag mate.

maybe the relationship being hidden from everyone isnt the best thing, more problems could arise from it and i suggest just telling everyone

Did you text him saying sorry? obviously you’ll need to talk in person. But if he knows your sorry in advance, he has time to think about it beforehand.

Just meet up with him face-to-face nd explain why you said those things. Apologise for the mistakes nd I’m sure he’ll understand!
