computer help: I have several problems with AOL including: - Help.com

I have several problems with AOL including:

1. I cannot forward mail because an AOL advertisement is blocking the area on the right hand side of the screen where my list of contacts was normally located. Hitting the icon on the right side only causes the text screen to expand and fill the computer screen.

2. When I bring up my list of contacts the first part of the list comes up blank; then there are those further down on the list that display.

3. When signing in I enter my screen name, my code number and then depress the button that states: Do not close this session until I have finished and etc. Quite often while in the process of sending e-mails AOL closes me down and forces me to re-enter my screen name, code number and depress the Sign In button.

4. If this cannot get corrected I will be forced to transfer to some other e-mail service. I am very frustrated at not being able to forward mail! And not being able to get to my contacts!

I am convinced that AOL has a system wide problem in these matters; but, it may be only with my account since another AOL user is able to forward mail to me.

PLEASE ADVISE ASAP.

Are you looking for answers about problems with your AOL service?

I’d like to recommend that you ask AOL directly since they are best suited to help you.

For AOL support, you can visit the AOL support site or even call them at an AOL toll free number.

Note: I’m a robot that the Help.com staff created. If this response is in error, I apologize, please ignore it.

Hi Ckief. Oh AOL is going through some sort of breakdown, I think.
I can be on it for a few minutes, and it will shut me down. Then it restarts—only to shut me down and restart again.
I honestly believe that AOL is in it’s death throes!
I am trying to change to another server. But whenever I call, first I am put on hold for like 45 min. to an hour. And then when I do make it thru, they just sort of chat all around the idea of our family changing ISPs. Then they will simply hang up on you.
So, just know that you are not alone.
AOL is in some serious trouble.
I’ll probably end up just using an air card for my laptop.
Anything is better than the abuse that AOL deals out to it’s customers.
I wish you all the best luck!!

Please go to http://daol.aol.com/software/90vr and download the best application software AOL has supported.
