This is often the case in bigger families. Let your parents know just how bad it makes you feel, talking should help. :)

ooo honey…you and i are together on that one! SAME exact thing happened to me when high school started for me. it was like, at that point I was EXPECTED to do the good grades without the “reward.” I said, “F*** THAT!” and started to subconsciously do bad cause i noticed it got attention. It got my parents to give my brother attention during his senior-idis moments during my first year of high school. Suddenly, i found myself in negative, degrading, self-esteem ripping conversations about my grades. Feeling these EXTRA negative emotions form my parents, I CONTINUED to do worse in “retailiation” towards them. Now, 5 years later, I am just realizing that I was hurting myself and no one else. Shrugs shoulders. You do have the right to feel this way, but you know what? DO IT and EVERYTHING for YOURSELF! WHO CARES if YOUR parents want it! WHAT YOU WANT counts MORE and what makes YOU HAPPY COUNTS MORE! I am now finding myself writing a HUGE lettter that is “BINGING” ALL my repressed feelings, thoughts, secrets, etc. to my parents

That happens to me all the time, except its with my younger siblings. Just tell them that it huts your feelings and you don’t feel like they appreciate you.
I told my parents this and they’ve been better about it. =)
