Everytime I close my eyes…

Everynight when I try to go to sleep, everything thats bothering me starts running through my head. It doesn’t matter if it’s something that happened yesterday or years ago. I still think about it. No matter what I do short of self medicating seems to help. Any advice? Other than using a controlled substance.

Journal the thoughts/memories/ideas/feelings etc. into a journal. It helps sooo much! You may fall asleep while writing them out! ;o) It is a way to release the thoughts/memories/ideas/feelings/etc. out of your body.

That’s a really good idea. Then the thoughts don’t have to haunt your mind because they have a home on paper.

Go to a book store like Borders or Barnes and Noble to get a really AWESOME journal that makes you feel special or like you are in your own little private world with the MOST TRUSTED PERSON EVER!

EXACTLY CHAMELEON! ;o)

Oooh good idea! Like a thick leather-bound, bejeweled antique looking Thought Holder book. lol It will look so serious and magical that you’ll know it will hold onto your fears for you like a dream catcher holds dreams. :)

YEAH! They have GREAT JOURNALS! You will know when you find “the one!” LoL! It has to make you want to curl up with a cup of coffee and a blanket. Get a pen too that makes you smile with joy as you roll it over the paper and between the lines. ;o)

when your laying in bed think about relaxing. concentrate on relaxing your fingers and toes then your hands and feet then your wrists and ankles then your fore-arms and calves then your knees and elbows then your biceps and thighs then your shoulders and hips then then your stomach and rear end, then your chest and back then your neck and your mouth then your head. by this time you should be so relaxed that you fall right to sleep. it’s a yoga technique that always made me pass out.
