Tell her nicely that she is acting differently and that you don’t want to lose her as a friend. She has the right to have other friends but at the same time it shouldnt change the way she treats you. Just be open with her and if she really is your best mate she’ll understand :D

I have a friend who is going through a very similar problem, except her new found “friend” is getting her into some rather awkward situations. You need to have faith that your friend will make the right decisions. There is a reason you have been friends for so long, so it would be a shame if all of a sudden all those years of friendship would abruptly end. I agree with liz, try to calmly talk to your friend (as hard as that may be). Remember, however, that people do change in life, and this girl ashley may be just enhancing the minute changes to your friends ever-changing personality. We all change as we move through life, and this effects a majority of our social ties.
