Hi, my sister and I are 20 and 18 years old.

We now have to care for our 11 year old sister. We just moved and this is so unexpected. I do not want to go on welfare, and I do no want Wic. Is there any other way to get assitance?? We need help. I don’t know what to do. We are so young to be going to school and working 2 jobs just to get by. Does anyone know what else there is that we can get. Maybe a grant or something ? :(

You can’t get wic unless you are pregnant or have a baby. But go ahead and get foodstamps and/or welfare just temporarily.

You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

You can also try your luck at online charities like Digital Charity, people may send donations if your story is convincing enough. More information at http://www.laodn.org/
