help with american idol auditions.

i’m planning on auditioning for american idol next month, but i have absolutely no clue what to sing. i’m an alto/belter, and i can learn songs and words very quickly. any suggestions?

have you ever applied before? let me tell you a little bit of how the auditions work. you are PRE SCREENED by some wanna be producer who has the job of deciding if you are good enough to be in front of the judges or not. so you either sing like mariah carrey, or look like one of the three stooges to get onto the show…. i would opt for the ladder of the two chances. then come back in front of the judges and wow the hell out of em!
