Read up on current events so you always have something interesting to say. Find people, and talk about things that interest them, not you. Ask them about themselves. And then shut up and leave before you become annoying. Repeat, rinse.

Possibly you are using the portuguese language as a defense to having trouble making new friends, since you did admit to “I only open up and show my true self to select people. It´s hard for me to make NEW friends and show them how cool i am.” May not be the language that is causing you this brief period of friendlessness, its that you have not found the “select” few that you will gladly speak to regardless of language differences. As with the whole rest of your life, keep searching for them, as you know they exist.. few and far between.

I’m a portuguese female and I also find it very difficult to make friends. And the worse of all is when I think I have found someone I can trust and it turns out to be a great mistake. That makes me just want to give up on everyone. Sometimes even life becomes meaningless.
