life help: I’m coping with a devestating time in life. - Help.com

I’m coping with a devestating time in life.

My girlfriend of 16 yrs took her life recently on Thanksgiving day. She suffered for many years. All attempts to help were to no avail. After the cost of treatment and funeral left me financially devestated as well. I was employed in timeshare and it was to emotionally diffiult to continue. After working minimun wage positions I futher went in crisis. I’m trying to find reasonable employment. Most of my experince is in Club and resturant Management. I have many years of experience. I need to find something soon. Any advice would be appriciated and returned to another. Pay it forward. Thanks for your interest. Kerry

I agree, I need to stay busy. I guess job hunting is one form of taking my off issues.

try handing in your cv to job agencies. Look in shop windows for posts. Even go into restaurants and ask if they have any jobs free. Hope you find one and I’m sorry to hear about your loss.

I’m sorry you have to deal with such difficulties in your life. I’m no good helping with money or anything, but I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and pray for the best. If you need help with anything else though and you need to talk, don’t hesitate to ask. 3
